John Nada Make it a trifecta for The Herbalists! Keeping with their first two gemstones this release expands on musical foundations of Forest and Island. I hope there are a ton more of these to come! Favorite track: The Rockfolk Dismantle the Mining Operation.

Alderen Simultaneously complex and whimsical with a solid sense of place - reminds me a bit of the music from Chrono Trigger & Earthbound. Favorite track: Weren't Expecting To See The Miners Over Here.

about

Balancing on Kcor-Ridge Mountain is naive synthesized music about the boundaries of nature being pushed too far, and about witnessing a fearful display of strength in retribution.

Played live, with no overdubs, into four track, on two keyboards and the pedals of a digital drumkit EXCEPT Song of Rockfolk Awakening, where the tape was played backwards, at half-speed.
